Who we are, why we exist, and the people behind the work
The Taley Sylvester Children Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding educational opportunities for children in underserved and unreached rural communities across Nigeria. We believe every child, regardless of where they are born, deserves access to education and the opportunity to build a brighter future.
Our mission is to remove barriers to education by providing scholarships, school supplies, learning resources, and other forms of support that help children stay in school and succeed. We work with local schools, families, and community leaders to identify areas of greatest need and provide meaningful support where it matters most.
Founded in 2022 and based in Lagos, Nigeria, we are creating pathways to opportunity, one child, one school, and one community at a time.
The Taley Sylvester Children Foundation began with conversations between Stanley Sylvester and his daughter, Ley Sylvester. Inspired by her father's longstanding commitment to helping others and giving back to his community, Ley saw an opportunity to turn that spirit of service into something that could reach even more people.
In 2022, those conversations became the Taley Sylvester Children Foundation, with a shared commitment to expanding educational opportunities for children in underserved and unreached communities. The foundation's first public gathering in Lagos brought together family, friends, community members, and supporters to introduce TSCF's vision and the work ahead.
Since then, the work has grown from providing essential school supplies and educational resources to include scholarships and broader support for children and families. As TSCF grows, the belief that started it remains the same: every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a brighter future.

Founder & President
Stanley founded the Taley Sylvester Children Foundation with a lifelong commitment to education and community service. A graduate of Rhode Island College with a Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages, he has dedicated himself to philanthropy across Nigeria as an entrepreneur, community mentor, and advocate for children in underserved communities.
Executive Director
Ley brings together technical expertise and a strong background in education to lead the foundation's day-to-day operations, programs, and growth. She holds a Ph.D. in Information Technology and a Doctor of Education, and works as a Professor and Cloud Architect. Her commitment to giving back drives TSCF's growth and community impact.
Director of Programs
Babatunde brings a multidisciplinary background in healthcare, education, and leadership to TSCF's programs. He holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership, a Doctorate in Dental Medicine, and an MBA in Healthcare Management. He serves as an Associate Clinical Director of Operations and adjunct professor of clinical dentistry, and is a committed mentor and philanthropist.
Director of Community Relations
Victor holds a Master's degree in Information Technology and Communication with a career spanning technology, agro-allied business, and education. A beneficiary of Chief Obafemi Awolowo's free education initiative, he went on to establish a Creche, Nursery, and Primary School at no cost to parents, driven by his belief that education is the most lasting legacy a person can leave.
